About Cheeki Cherries

Cheeki Cherries is a pick your own cherry orchard at Cromwell in Central Otago, run by Martin Milne and family. The orchard grows export grade, low spray cherries and opens to the public daily from 4 December, from 8am to 6pm, closing only on Christmas Day. No booking is needed and tour groups are welcome, and ladders are provided for reaching the higher branches. Fruit can also be bought pre-picked for visitors who would rather not pick their own, and the orchard sells fresh cherries online with overnight courier delivery around New Zealand. On site there is a shop in a red barn selling gifts and local produce, real fruit ice cream, picnic areas under the trees, and outdoor games for children including a trampoline, climbing frame and swings. Cheeki Cherries is well reviewed on Tripadvisor and is a popular stop for visitors to Cromwell during the summer cherry season. Contact the orchard by phone or through its website for current pricing, and check picking conditions before travelling, since cherry availability depends on the weather and the stage of the season.
