About Good Planet
Good Planet is a pick-your-own berry farm at Riverhead, north west of Auckland, selling strawberries and raspberries under its Best Berries brand. Visitors pay an entry fee per person to pick strawberries or raspberries into Good Planet's own containers, with a discount for reusing a bucket, and the entry fee covers all you can eat while picking. Strawberries run from October through to April and raspberries from November through to April, with the farm closed outside those months. In peak season the farm opens seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, with the last pick-your-own entry at 4pm. Alongside the fields there is a cafe, a real fruit ice cream stand, a picnic lawn and a children's attractions area with an adventure park, splash park and a train ride from the pick-your-own entrance. Dogs are allowed on a leash in the common areas but not through the pick-your-own entrance. The farm's own contact page gives its street address as 418 State Highway 16, Kumeū, between Westgate and Kumeū township, while the pick-your-own page lists 340 Riverhead Road: both describe the same property.
