About Phil Greig Strawberry Gardens
Phil Greig Strawberry Gardens is a strawberry farm and gelateria on State Highway 16 at Kumeū, north west of Auckland. Visitors pick their own strawberries for an adult entry fee, with free entry for children aged ten and under who only pay for what they pick, and eftpos is available on site. Strawberries are ready from spring through to late summer, and the farm and shop close for pick-your-own outside that season. The shop stays open through the year, selling gelato, Belgian waffles, coffee and fresh fruit smoothies made from the farm's own strawberries. Listed hours are weekdays 10am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 5:30pm, Sunday 9am to 5pm, and public holidays 11am to 5pm, though the pick-your-own paddock itself follows the strawberry season rather than the shop hours.
