About Ruby Glen Orchard
Ruby Glen Orchard is a boutique berry orchard run by the McPhail family on the south side of Napier, established in 1997. It grows raspberries, black and red currants, boysenberries, tayberries and blackberries, along with cherries and other summerfruit sold gate-only. Pick-your-own berries are offered on selected lines as supply allows, seven days a week from mid November to mid April, alongside a gate sales shop selling free-flow frozen berries. The orchard does not offer pick-your-own cherries. Visitors are directed to the orchard's Facebook page for the latest picking availability, since which varieties are open changes through the season. The farm is at 92 Powdrell Road, Meeanee, on the outskirts of Napier.
